Youths are the major targets of the State Administration Council (SAC) as they never hesitate to speak the truth and are leading the revolution against Min Aung Hlaing and his subordinates. Yangon University Student Union announced that Ko Aung Phone Maw, an executive committee member of Yangon University, was sentenced to three years in prison under the penal code 505/A. He was arrested in Tarmwe Township on March 3 for leading a peaceful protest. Likewise, Ma Shwe Zin from Hpa-an Township, Kayin State was also arrested on the early morning of December 22. A source spoke to Khit Thit Media that the village administrator Win Kyi, a member of pro-military Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), and his son Ko Naing, a military informant, tipped the police for Ma Shwe Zin’s arrest. Her innocent act of helping the internally displaced people resulted in being charged with the penal code 505A.

Christmas holidays are approaching, and it truly would be a joyful season for people in Chin State, who are predominantly Christians, if it were not for the military takeover. Chinland Defense Force (CDF) representative spoke to DVB News that the junta is reinforcing its troops to Chin State by sending 50 military convoys during the Christmas season in order to launch an aggressive attack against CDF and the civilians. Salai Htet Ni from CDF said that the junta’s soldiers’ intrusion in the churches and burning down religious buildings are insults against the religion. Mindat CDF representative also said that the SAC is planning an offensive skirmish against them under two military armies, each group consisting of about 80 soldiers. Moreover, he said that most youths from Mindat are more enthusiastic to fight against the coup than participating in Christmas seasonal activities.

Chin State is not the only region that the military has been conducting a land clearance mission. Magway and Sagaing regions are also heavily oppressed by the regime’s army after they have initially suffered a massive defense against the local People’s Defense Forces (PDFs). Moreover, the SAC is using fake monks, and spreading misinformation among Buddhist and Islam populations to cause tensions among two religion groups in Sagaing and Magway regions. Moreover, they are also using military helicopters to bomb the villages in Sagaing. According to Khit Thit Media, the junta force is using a Mi350-type military helicopter in the afternoon to attack against the local PDF in Natchaung village. Two hours after the sniper from the military army was killed during the battle, the military army started using the helicopters to fire against the people in Natchaung village, and some innocent civilians are also hurt in the incident. To prevent the news of junta’s atrocities spreading across social media, the telecommunication channels are also cut off in the region, except for Ooredoo.

The chief minister of Kayin State under the NLD government, Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, was slapped with another sentence under the penal code 130/A, and her total time of prison time has been added up to a total of 80 years. She was previously charged under the penal code 55 and 505/B for a total of 77 years imprisonment term on November 9. According to Mizzima News, the prison court of Hpa-an gave her three more years of imprisonment on December 22. According to the Myanmar law, the penal code 130/A is charged to those who commit election fraud, and the highest punishment was three years of imprisonment, so Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint was given the harshest verdict.

This afternoon around 12:20pm, a bomb was found near the CB bank branch on the corner of Thein Phyu and Mahabandoola roads in Yangon. Burma Final Revolution Armed Forces (BFRAF) claimed that they planted it as a warning to CB bank which had fired its staff who participated in Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM). BFRAF also said that as it was only a warning, the bomb was not set off prevent civilians from injuries. A witness told Mizzma News that the junta forces started inspecting the passers-by near the incident location and checked phones.

A military informer called Kyaw Than Aye, a lawyer by profession, was found dead in Tatkalay Ward in Bamaw Township, Kachin State on the early morning of December 23.  According to the Khit Thit Media, the man was representing the junta forces for political cases, and had sued innocent civilians with harsh charges on behalf of the SAC. More military informants namely Kyaw San, Kyaw Htet Aung, and Htin Lin Aung were also killed in Yesagyo Township in Magway on the late night of December 22.

Whereas in Pauk Township, Magway Region, three soldiers from Tayetkan police station were killed due to the attack of free flight rockets. Major Ko Japan from People Revolution Army (PRA) said that the attack was carried out around 2:45am on December 22 as a coordinated plan under PRA, MPDF, and GOM PDFs. The assault resulted in three casualties and multiple injuries from the military’s side with no injuries from local PDFs. Similarly, Yaw Defense Force-KYAW planted eight bombs and fired four hand-made launchers against 24 military convoys moving between Kyaw and Gantgaw City. The attack resulted in the death of over 30 soldiers according to YDF-KYAW’s statement.
