Since the coup, Min Aung Hlaing and his soldiers have committed thousands of crimes, many of them mass killings. Over 200 incidents have been verified and recorded, resulting in the deaths of over 2,000 people in less than four years. Such massacres have occurred in every state and region of Myanmar. Most concerning is that half of 2024 has already seen an average number of mass killings equivalent to previous years. Half of the airstrikes resulting in massacres took place in 2024.
