Freedom Memoirs (October 2022)

Anang Pa airstrike, indiscriminate firing at Kyaik Htee Yoe pagoda and Insein Prison visitor centre, mass displacement in Sagaing Region. These are just the tip of the iceberg of the regime’s violence against its own people. Friends and families are being taken out, one by one, in one form or another at the hands of the military junta. With or without bullets, people are dying, trying in survive in the economic hardship amidst the ongoing violence. But we haven’t given up. Some are taking up arms and giving their lives, others are sharing what they earn to achieve the collective goal, which is to uproot the military regime. With our collective effort, we remain in search of the light at the end of the tunnel.
